Erin K. Peterson, DHSc, OTR, CHT

is a clinician, educator and researcher and considered one of the leading experts in the treatment and prevention of upper extremity injuries in the country.  Erin is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the
School of Occupational Therapy at The University of Indianapolis where her primary teaching responsibilities are in kinesiology, biomechanics, and upper extremity rehab. 

She earned both a Masters of Occupational Therapy and a Doctorate in Health Sciences from the University of Indianapolis.  In addition, she is a Certified Hand Therapist and maintains a clinical practice in upper extremity rehabilitation at Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN.  She is highly skilled in the design and optimization of rehabilitation documentation templates used in electronic medical record systems.  Her clinical research pertains to improving client satisfaction in rehabilitation and post operative scar management.
