Seth is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a holistic, innovative approach to rehabilitation. Dr. Oberst works to help clients regulate their movement and behavior by altering how they sense and perceive their environment and themselves. In learning new ways of moving, clients are able to reduce or eliminate pain and dysfunction while improving performance thru resiliency, adaptability, and efficiency.

Seth has done extensive training in neuroscience, somatic practices, and mindfulness. Originally residency-trained and board-certified as a sports physical therapist, he now works with a diverse set of clients, many of whom are stuck – mentally and physically – and suffering from chronic tension, stress, pain, and trauma. Dr. Oberst brings a unique approach to treatment being neurocentric focused – meaning that the nervous system is the main regulator of not only our thoughts and movements but even our physiology. He is fascinated by the brain, the nervous system, and psychology and much of his work involves reconnecting the body and mind.

In addition to his clinical practice, Seth has performed and presented research on motor control and fatigue at national conferences for clinician scientists, provides continuing education for healthcare professionals, and regularly consults with fellow physiotherapists, counselors, and psychologists. He maintains a thriving website, SethOberst.com, where he writes frequent on mind-body topics.
